UNI: an exploration in cryptofutures fintech

UNI is a cryptocurrency fintech app built on the Ethereum blockchain and inspired by Hugh Everett III’s work on the multi-world theory. UNI’s proprietary algorithm calculates probabilities in potential futures, and speculates on the stock prices of commodities and the S&P 500 companies. Users can then invest in those alternate-world commodities. This is the ultimate form of risk-proofing portfolios.

USER JOURNEY:

  1. After entering through the Welcome page, the user logs into their portfolio where they can view trending stocks from various “future worlds” (closed systems in which the algorithm has calculated probabilities). They can also view their own portfolio and the value of their UNI portfolio over time.

  2. Our user now decides to find more UNI in the futures multiverse. They can browse discrete worlds, and follow sub-worlds that have branched off of each other.

  3. Once our user chooses a future world to explore, they can view a listing of all that world’s commodity and S&P 500 company prices.

  4. The user can now choose to see the value history of one commodity within one future, where they can decide if they want to purchase some for their portfolio.

  5. If the user decides they would like to compare the value of one future’s commodity vs others, they can search for all worlds where that commodity exists. They can then compare and contrast possible futures and purchase the commodity of their choosing.
